Grammar Concept Attainment Lessons (Powerpoint)

The Concept Attainment model of instruction encourages discussion and collaboration. Students analyze examples, pick out patterns, and try to explain their thinking. The teacher reveals the academic language in the end. To learn more about the concept attainment model of instruction, check out this video.

I found it incredibly useful for teaching grammar to my students. I was amazed at the engagement this model promoted.

A PowerPoint File

To help other teachers implement Concept Attainment, I've created a Powerpoint (.pptx) file with:

  • A video explaining the steps of concept attainment
  • The ability to edit existing lessons for your needs
